Starting The Year Off Right: Putting God First In Your Goals

As we begin the new year, it is important to remember that our ultimate goal should be to glorify God and fulfil His purpose for our lives.

So, how can we make sure that God is at the centre of our goals in the new year? Here are a few tips:

Pray and ask God to reveal His plans and purposes for your life. In Psalm 37:4, it says, "Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart." By seeking and delighting in God, He will reveal His plans for your life and guide your steps towards His will.

Look for ways to serve and love others. One of the greatest commandments is to love our neighbours as ourselves (Mark 12:31). By focusing on serving and loving others, we can better align our goals with God's will.

Spend time in God's Word and allow it to shape your goals and decisions. In Psalm 119:105, it says, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." By studying the Bible and allowing it to guide our actions, we can ensure that our goals and decisions are in line with God's will.

Surround yourself with people who will encourage and support you in your walk with God. In Proverbs 27:17, it says, "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." By surrounding ourselves with believers who will hold us accountable and encourage us in our faith, we can stay focused on God's plans for our lives.

By making God the centre of our goals in the new year, we can be sure that we are living out His purpose for our lives and glorifying Him in all that we do.

Get A Head Start On The New Year

Now is the perfect time to renew your focus and commit to making positive changes in your life.

As the new year approaches, many of us are thinking about what we want to accomplish and change in the coming year. For some of us, that might mean setting new goals or resolutions, while for others, it might mean taking a fresh look at where we are and where we want to be. No matter what your approach to the new year, one thing is certain: now is the perfect time to renew your focus and commit to making positive changes in your life.

As women, we often have multiple roles and responsibilities that can make it challenging to stay focused and achieve success. Whether you are a mother, a career woman, or both, it can be easy to get overwhelmed and lose sight of your goals. But with a little planning and effort, you can set yourself up for success in the new year and beyond.

So how can you start the new year off on the right foot and set yourself up for success as a woman with multiple roles? Here are a few tips to help you get started:

Reflect on the past year: Take some time to look back on the past year and think about what worked well for you and what didn't. Consider what you accomplished and what you wish you had done differently. This reflection can help you gain insight into what you need to focus on in the new year.

Set clear and specific goals: Rather than setting vague resolutions, try setting specific, measurable goals for the new year. This will help you stay focused and motivated as you work towards achieving them.

Make a plan: Once you have identified your goals, take some time to create a plan for how you will achieve them. Break your goals down into smaller, actionable steps, and assign deadlines to each one. This will help you stay on track and make progress towards your goals.

Seek support: Whether you work with a coach, join a support group, or enlist the help of a friend or family member, having someone to hold you accountable and offer encouragement can be a powerful motivator.

By following these tips, you can start the new year off with renewed focus and determination, and set yourself up for success in the year ahead. Remember, it's never too late to make positive changes in your life, and with a little planning and effort, you can achieve anything you set your mind to.
